September was spent mashing the goddamn reset button for ~6,700 miles.
I left Tyler pointed towards Reno. From Reno MRB and I cruised to Vancouver BC where we saw Kristina, Peter, and water fountains before returning to Nevada.
The trip was brilliantly planned and flawlessly executed. We planned to make it to Canada and we did. In between motels we slept under the Milky Way at Silver Lake, among redwoods in NorCal, and beside Brownlee Creek in Hell’s Valley.
I took some photos, but not many. To quote the one and only (and fictional) Sean O’Connell: “If I like a moment, for me, personally, I don’t like to have the distraction of the camera. I just want to stay in it.”
Also, it’s a pain, constantly pulling over to dig out the F5.
Nikon F5, 50mm f1.8g
Agfa Vista 200, a recently discontinued film. There’s a metaphor there, somewhere.
Heavy lifting handled by Alabama’s own Indie Film Lab.
Big thanks to all the humans and dogs who provided hospitality along the way, wouldn’t have been half the trip without you.
